Alicia Meyers is a second-grade teacher and neurodiverse author based in Washington, DC, with over 16 years of experience teaching preschool through second grade. She is the author of The A-to-Z Teaching Toolkit for Early Childhood and Elementary Educators (Routledge, 2025) and TIC-ERRIFIC ME (Free Spirit, 2026), a picture book celebrating the ins and outs of Tourette syndrome. Her writing has also appeared in Edutopia, High Five Magazine, SCBWI, Little Thoughts Press, The Toy Press, and The Dirigible Balloon. She writes everything from educational material to picture books, chapter books, early graphic novels, and middle grade fiction.

When she's not teaching or writing, you'll likely find her cooking pasta, singing loudly, planning her next trip, or curled up with her kindle.
